Jingying Wang is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher, who has practiced Chinese classical calligraphy for 30 years. Her interest fields include contemporary art, art healing, the relationship between art and science, nature literature and nature ontology literature. She is passionate about the wonders of nature, advocates peace, and care for all living organisms with sensory systems.

Her research drive stems from the energy nourishment she received through intimate contact with nature during her extensive intercontinental travels in her early years, and by her friendliness, curiosity and sensitivity to the pulse of nature's flora and fauna, as well as to their own characteristics. Built on Chinese calligraphy, writing, sculpture, photography, video, film, painting, and travel, her autonomous practice revolves around the dimension of self-exploration, living organisms, and the comprehensive environment, which are manifested in the extreme purity of the friendships she cherishes, not limited to human connections but also encompassing relationships between humans and themselves, humans and plants, humans and animals, humans and materials, humans and the environment, and the transformative changes brought about by their intertwined energy, and based on this, emphasizes the importance of capturing the inspiration, the inextricable inductions and once-warm emotions that interlaced to make up the person she is in every moment, and to create her own destiny with a high degree of autonomy and awareness.
